Julia is a yoga teacher of 11 years, and a Food + Body Therapist. She is passionate about helping people to reconnect to themselves through movement and mindfulness, and to create a trusting and peaceful relationship to their body.


Julia is an e-RYT 500 and has been teaching since 2009. She completed her training at ISHTA Yoga in New York City with Yogiraj Alan Finger, Sarah Platt Finger, and Jean Koerner. Julia draws on tantric philosophy, buddhist teachings, and mindfulness practices to guide her students in cultivating self-awareness and self-compassion.  The traditional tenets of yoga run through her invigorating asana classes, creating a seamless blend of physicality and spirituality. Her background in nutrition science and interest in neuroscience anchors her teaching in the modern world. Julia’s aim is to help you move through the world with more grace and ease, and learn to sit with yourself in peace.


Julia Hollenberg Food + Body Therapy is Julia’s private practice based in Seattle.  As an advocate of body liberation for all, she helps people break free from restrictive eating and body shame forever so they can live their most full and vibrant lives.


Julia finds peace in nature, joy in salsa dancing, and pleasure in simple beautifully prepared food.
